Deciding
to plan an adoption for your child, or build or expand your family through
adoption, is one of the most important and life-changing decisions you
will ever make.
OUR PHILOSOPHY is rooted in the belief that
children grow best in families. Committed
to the highest ethical standards, AdoptionLink, a program of Jewish Family
Services of Western Massachusetts, has helped children and families of
all races and religions come together through adoption since 1967.
AdoptionLink
is a comprehensive licensed private adoption program whose staff have
decades of experience helping families through the journey of adoption.
AdoptionLink offers warm, caring support to birth parents, adoptive parents
and the children they love. AdoptionLink is nationally accredited
by the Council on Accreditation.
THE
RIGHT RESOURCES
AdoptionLink
provides a free consultation during which an orientation to agency services
is explored and information about the world of adoption is provided. Once
a decision to plan an adoption is reached, our professional staff help
you explore the type of adoption that best meets your individual needs.
DOMESTIC
ADOPTIONS
Many
of the adoptions facilitated by AdoptionLink are referred to as ‘parent-identified’ or ‘designated’ adoptions. Assistance
in developing strategies through which birth parents and prospective
adoptive parents come to know each other is one of the services AdoptionLink
offers. We also assist families choosing out-of-state agencies
with whom adoptive parents might wish to work.
INTERNATIONAL
ADOPTIONS
AdoptionLink
facilitates a growing number of international adoptions through seamless
networks with licensed international agencies throughout the United States. We
help adoptive parents plan country-specific adoption based on their interests
and the eligibility requirements set by each country.
FINANCIAL
ASSISTANCE
Fees
vary by the type of adoption you choose. In accordance with IRS
regulations, a $10,000 Federal Adoption Tax Credit is available to most
families who adopt. Other financial assistance may be available
on a case-by-case basis.
